It can be said that I have a small addiction to cookbooks. I collect them. Love flipping through them. I especially love trying out new and delicious recipes. So when I was approached to read/review Deliciously Holistic I was excited to see if I would add some new favorite dishes to my repertoire. The book is divided into six foodie focused chapters, and a couple introductory chapters. It is a visually pleasing cookbook with a nice array of photos of the finished dishes and well-placed graphics. The recipes are simple to follow and use ingredients easy to find. I tried a few of the recipes first hand, and I loved the Cleansing Radish Ceviche. So yummy and easy to prepare. The Traditional Tabbouleh with a Twist made with riced cauliflower was also a huge hit with everyone (even my kids)! The two mains I tried (Truly Tasty Turkey Meatloaf and Simple Citrus Cajun Salmon) were both given two thumbs up. Last, the Lovely Lemon Chia Seed Muffins were SO good I made them twice!
I can see this cookbooks being one I reach for again and again. There are so many recipes that I can’t wait to try. If you are a cookbook lover, and you like to cook healthy, wonderful tasting dishes that are sure to please even the pickiest of eaters then yours truly recommends you add Deliciously Holistic to your collection ASAP.
