Shantel is a Texas born woman who now lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma with her high school sweetheart, who is a wonderful, supportive husband and their two daughters. She loves to spend time cuddled up on the couch with a good book.
She considers herself extremely lucky to do what she does while getting to work from home. Going to concerts and the movies are just a few of her favorite things to do. She hates coffee but loves wine. She and her husband are both huge football fans, college and NFL. And she has to feed her high heel addiction by shopping for shoes weekly.
Although she has a passion to write, her family is most important to her. She loves spending evenings at home with her husband and daughters, along with their cat and dog.
Way back in April of last year when I read I DARE YOU I was blown away by how awesome it was. So when I heard there would be a book two I knew I had to get my hands on a copy. Unfortunately, It just didn’t WOW me like book one did. It felt choppy, and the plot jumped all over the place. I also thought it got a bit repetitive at times with scenes that had already taken place in book one. I guess after finishing this one, part of me feels a little like this book wasn’t 100% necessary. I mean, book one ended on a several years later epilogue. *shrug*
However, it wasn’t all bad. I am dying to know what Bennet is up to and more importantly “WHO” he was sleeping with. I have a couple theories (that I will keep to myself). I was also intrigued by Deke and Becky’s twisted and fucked up storyline. Enough to read book three? Well, I have to be honest, at this point I am not sure. I guess it depends IF Deke is paired with Becky. Neither of them were particularly likable. Well Deke was until near the end when his anger towards Becky seemed a tad hypocritical all things considered. Their relationship was also a hot mess of secrets, lies, and (what appears to be) cheating, etc. So I figure we will be in for a shit ton of other people drama in that book. Time will tell I guess!
